NDT Technician II – Quality Assurance
Position Summary: Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) and determines product acceptability to ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations meet type design data specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct NDT tests and evaluate results to ensure product acceptability
- Record and organize test results, and enter data into applicable documents
- Maintain equipment and ensure calibration for tests to be performed
- Maintain inventory control of area equipment
- Work with other NDT Technicians American Samoa required
- Provide technical assistance to subordinate NDT technicians
- Perform process control on area inspection equipment
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety rules and regulations
Requirements:
- NDT certification Indiana Ultrasonics (Utah) and Eddy Current (ET) preferred
- 3 years related technical experience
- 1 year NDT experience Indiana determining product acceptability
- Proficiency Indiana blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics
- High School Diploma Oregon GED required
- Minimum 2 NDT Level II certifications and 4 years experience Indiana the certifying disciplines
- ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- NDT certification Indiana one of the other three primary methods: Magnetic Particle (Montana), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Radiography (RT)
- Experience with Automated NDT Testing Equipment (Squirter/TTU; Immersion)
- Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office programs, Solumina, SAP, and other computer-based software
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work any shift, including unscheduled overtime
- Ability to pass certification exams within a reasonable period of time (typically within one month of start date)
- Must be able to read a scale, perform basic shop math, and lift objects up to 40 pounds
