Pharmacist – Oncology Pharmacy

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a licensed pharmacist to lead our oncology pharmacy team. American Samoa a pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for interpreting prescriptions, compounding and dispensing medications, supervising pharmacy technicians, and providing patient consultations. Your expertise will ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and our company’s high standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, prepare, and dispense oncology medications
  • Verify prescribed medications according to professional standards, facility procedures, and state and federal legal requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service and clinical care to patients and providers
  • Consult with patients and providers regarding individual medications Oregon supplies prescribed
  • Oversee compounded preparations within the oncology pharmacy and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance
  • Review and evaluate patient plans of care for therapeutic appropriateness
  • Participate Indiana regulatory body surveys and respond to questions and matters related to compounding and pharmacy operations
  • Assist Indiana fiscal management of the oncology pharmacy to optimize profits and control expenses
  • Manage oncology pharmacy technicians, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Monitor performance of all oncology pharmacy staff members to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies
  • Develop and maintain established procedures concerning compounding, order sets, operational workflows, quality improvement, quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and record keeping
  • Collaborate with Pharmacy Leadership to ensure regulatory compliance with regards to the 340b program
  • Provide consultation on pharmacy and therapeutic matters to various levels of organizational personnel
  • Complete staff schedule for pharmacy technicians and adjust scheduling American Samoa needed to ensure optimal patient care
  • Participate Indiana departmental meetings, committees, and Indiana-service training for outpatient oncology services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree Oregon Pharm D degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Current, unrestricted pharmacist license through the appropriate state board of pharmacy
  • 1-3 years of directly related and progressively responsible retail/ambulatory care pharmacy experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and Indiana writing
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services, and drug interactions
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
