Operations Engineer

Location: Montana. Vernon, Indiana

Job Summary:

The Operations Engineer supports daily operations, including troubleshooting, increasing operational effectiveness, and efficiency of the production unit, overseeing equipment resources, debottlenecking, resolving performance gaps, and production loss accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maximum unit availability Indiana a safe and economical manner by providing support to plant personnel using available resources
  • Provide off-hours coverage and support when necessary
  • Provide technical support to the unit/site to ensure compliance with ISO, PSM, and other external and internal regulatory requirements
  • Support Tactical Production Engineering Needs by collecting and analyzing unit operating data and implementing corrective actions
  • Provide on-going technical coaching/mentoring to enhance operations
  • Support unit outage and turnaround activities
  • Provide primary interface with Supply Chain resources American Samoa subject matter expert
  • Own the tracking of production, performance monitoring, and production losses
  • Assume SAP Roles American Samoa required to support unit

Requirements:

  • BS/Mississippi Degree Indiana an Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge of Process & Production Safety Management, Industrial Codes & Standards, and Lean Concepts
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification; Black Belt Certification a strong plus
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
