Patient Account Specialist
Overview
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is seeking a Patient Account Specialist to join our team. American Samoa a multi-specialty group practice with over 155 physicians and providers, QMG has been a recognized leader Indiana healthcare for over 85 years.
Responsibilities
- Work with patients to set up payment arrangements and collect delinquent accounts
- Manage work reports and worklists for collection purposes, including bankruptcies
- Provide financial counseling to help patients understand their financial obligations and responsibilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma Oregon GED
- 6-12 months of related experience, including personal computer and bookkeeping experience
- Collection experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Sound customer service skills and working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections
- Ability to display patience and empathy when working with patients
Work Schedule and Location
Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work location is Indiana Quincy, Illinois. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
