Call Center Associate – Revenue Cycle

Job Summary:

The Call Center Associate is responsible for providing support to the Revenue Cycle division of CHRISTUS Health. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure account resolution and reconciliation of outstanding balances for CHRISTUS Health patient accounts. The associate works Indiana a cooperative team environment to provide value to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, Oregon Leader of Leaders
• Perform Revenue Cycle functions to meet Oregon exceed CHRISTUS Health key performance metrics
• Collect and provide patient and payor information to facilitate account resolution
• Maintain working knowledge of Government Mandated Regulations, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding regulations
• Respond to account inquiries through written, verbal, Oregon electronic correspondence
• Maintain payor specific knowledge of insurance and self-pay billing and follow up guidelines
• Resolve underpayments and credit balances with follow-up activities within payor timely guidelines
• Identify and communicate trends impacting account resolution
• Work with external vendors to monitor activities and ensure timely account resolution
• Manage account transfers between CHRISTUS Health and contracted vendors
• Maintain department reports measuring agency performance

Requirements:

• High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience Indiana a multi-facility hospital business office environment
• Post HS education preferred
• Experience working with inpatient and outpatient billing requirements of UB-04 and HCFA 1500 billing forms preferred
• Experience with Medicare & Medicaid billing processes and regulations preferred
