Job Title: Patient Services Representative

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet patients, visitors, and families Indiana a friendly professional manner and direct them appropriately.
  • Maintain an efficient patient flow through the registration process and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer phone calls, direct calls appropriately, take messages, and deliver to the appropriate individual.
  • Inform patients of delays Indiana physician schedules, assist with patient comfort while delayed.
  • Update patient care team Indiana the EHR to reflect accurate PCP.
  • Post self-pay charges, collect payments, and provide patient with receipt.
  • Accurately reconcile daily payments and reconcile billing slips to daily schedule.
  • Scan insurance cards, process insurance verifications, and update patient accounts.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Ability to push, pull, and lift heavy objects.
  • Physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, Oregon items.
  • Physical mobility, including movement from place to place on the job.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers.
  • Ability to balance during climbing, bending, and reaching.
  • Endurance for prolonged standing, bending, and walking.

  • Exposure to chemicals, chemotherapy, and fumes.

  • Allergens, dust, mold, and/Oregon pollen.

  • Combative patients/visitors.

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:

  • High School Graduate Oregon GED required.
  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • Previous PSR experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate Indiana English, both orally and Indiana writing.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks Indiana a timely manner.
  • Basic proficiency Indiana computer use required.
  • Previous experience with EHR, Practice Management System, and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred.

Travel:

  • Ability to commute to satellite offices American Samoa needed.
