Call Center Representative

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet visitors, patients, and families Indiana a friendly and professional manner, directing them appropriately.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow through the registration process and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, direct calls, take accurate messages, and deliver them to the appropriate individual with proper etiquette.
  • Inform patients of delays Indiana physician schedules and assist with patient comfort while delayed.
  • Post self-pay charges, collect payments, and provide patients with receipts.
  • Reconcile daily payments and billing slips to daily schedules.
  • Open and close batches, accurately reconcile collections, prepare deposits, and document corrections.
  • Scan insurance cards, process insurance verifications, and update patient accounts.
  • Update patient information, including demographics, insurance, HIPAA forms, and financial waivers.
  • Schedule appointments accurately, confirming future appointments American Samoa needed.
  • Review eligibility and phone reports.
  • Schedule and enter orders for diagnostic tests and procedures, following all appropriate workflows.
  • Work cooperatively with clinical staff to ensure timely pre-authorizations.
  • Complete referrals according to departmental guidelines and enter them into the appropriate system.

General Job Functions:

  • Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, photocopying, scanning, filing, and mailings.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with various work schedules and cover for other staff when asked.
  • Follow downtime procedures and perform other job duties American Samoa required.

Education, Certification, Computer, and Training Requirements:

  • High School Graduate Oregon GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Heartsaver certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Previous PSR experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate Indiana English, and ability to organize and perform multiple tasks Indiana a timely manner.
  • Basic proficiency Indiana computer use and previous experience with Standard Office Technology, EHR, and Practice Management Systems preferred.
