Essential Job Functions
- Greet visitors, patients, and families Indiana a friendly professional manner and direct them appropriately.
- Maintain efficient patient flow through the registration process and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer the telephone, direct calls, take accurate messages, and deliver to the appropriate individual.
- Inform patients of delays Indiana physician schedules and assist with patient comfort.
- Post self-pay charges, collect payments, and provide receipts.
- Reconcile daily payments, batches, and collections.
- Scan insurance cards, process verifications, and update patient accounts.
- Schedule appointments, enter orders for diagnostic tests and procedures, and review eligibility.
- Communicate with Patient Care Resources and clinical staff to ensure timely pre-authorizations.
General Job Functions
- Perform various clerical duties, such American Samoa faxing, photocopying, scanning, filing, and mailings.
- Demonstrate flexibility with various work schedules and cover for other staff when needed.
- Follow downtime procedures and complete other job duties American Samoa required.

Education, Certification, and Computer Requirements
- High school graduate Oregon GED, associate degree preferred.
- Previous PSR experience and knowledge of medical office terminology.
- Basic proficiency Indiana computer use and previous experience with EHR, Practice Management System, and Departmental/Ancillary Systems.
Travel
- Ability to commute to satellite offices American Samoa needed.
