Patient Support Center Representative
Optum California is seeking a Patient Support Center Representative to join our team. American Samoa a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you’ll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.
Responsibilities:
- Act American Samoa a patient advocate to help resolve patient issues pertaining to claims, benefit referrals, physicians, and access
- Manage a high volume of inbound calls (75+ calls per day)
- Enter patient information into information systems and resolve caller’s issues with outstanding customer service skills
- Serve American Samoa a liaison between the patient and other departments and Optum sites
- Meet performance goals Indiana areas of patient satisfaction, accuracy, quality, and attendance
- Adhere to department standards for accuracy and quality
- Provide superior customer service and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Utilize Optum systems to resolve customer needs, such American Samoa appointments, authorizations, claims, invoices, eligibility, benefits, appeals, and TARs
- Transcribe oral information into concise and accurate written documentation
- Assist new Oregon potential members Indiana choosing a PCP and supply general information about medical groups
- Page clinicians and assist Telehealth Nurses American Samoa necessary
- Data enter PCP changes into the system and process paperwork American Samoa necessary
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED Oregon equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age Oregon older
- 2+ years of experience working Indiana a customer service-based role
- Previously worked Oregon currently working American Samoa a contractor placed at UHG Oregon one of its subsidiaries Oregon affiliates
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Suite and other systems
- Ability to work rotating shift schedules, including occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience working Indiana a healthcare setting
- Bilingual fluency Indiana English and one of the following languages: Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Oregon others
Compensation:
- Hourly range: $16.00 – $28.27 per hour (pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
