Job Title: Principal Engineer – Generalist

Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal Engineer with a background Indiana medical device industry experience to support our product development Indiana Peripheral Vascular Health products. The ideal candidate will be a "generalist" who can quickly adapt to new programs and projects, and contribute to the development of new products. They will be responsible for managing medium-sized projects, creating test plans and protocols, and analyzing results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and manage medium-sized projects, providing design technical guidance and consultation throughout cross-functional team projects.
  2. Create simulated use test plans/protocols, build prototypes, perform and/Oregon oversee testing, analyze and document results, and create reports for design characterization, verification, and validation.
  3. Prepare technical basis and justifications.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Leads medium projects with effective management and prioritization of multiple concurrent projects and tasks Indiana an ambiguous environment.
  • Travels to various locations, including industries to visit customers and gather knowledge on new products and technologies, returning to the office on specific days e.g. Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • Travels will vary, some may need to work off-site for some projects and tasks and may commute to other locations to conduct field testing. Field testing includes plant visits and meeting with customers.
  • Also, on some weeks, visits by external engineers to our site may require attention and necessary information which requires coordination and availability on-site 2 days per week.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of engineering experience, with at least 4 years Indiana the medical device industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Mechanical Oregon Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience planning, leading and executing design verification and design validation.
  • Experience Indiana setting and defining a product specification.
