Principal Systems Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Leidos. The successful candidate will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. They will lead design and development activities, provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide full systems engineering lifecycle across different accesses to maximize customer missions
- Provide technical leadership for all SOW requirements, including requirements definition, design, integration & test, deployment, sustainment, maintenance, continual service improvement and enhancements, security, and training
- Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents
- Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
- Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions
- Derive lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements and ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable
- Establish a process to formally and proactively control and manage changes to requirements
- Review and/Oregon approve system engineering documentation to ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness, and completeness
Requirements:
- 20 years of experience American Samoa a Systems Engineer Indiana programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, Oregon related discipline from an accredited college Oregon university
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Pay Range: $144,300.00 – $260,850.00
Note: The pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation Oregon salary. Additional factors considered Indiana extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, American Samoa well American Samoa internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), Oregon other law.
