Program Coordinator

Job Summary

Join our team American Samoa a Program Coordinator and oversee the operations of nutrition services. This role involves supervising, directing, and coordinating Senior Center activities, providing social services, and supervising staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have strong public speaking skills, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff, peers, supervisors, and community organizations, and experience working with seniors.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise, assign, coordinate, and direct work to staff, volunteers, and senior employees engaged Indiana carrying out daily operations and providing services.
  • Oversee assigned areas of operations, including congregate Senior Centers and home delivery services.
  • Perform employee evaluations and make recommendations for merit and disciplinary action.
  • Provide input for budget preparation and implementation and coordinate revenue generation and monitoring of program income from participant donations.
  • Conduct client interviews, assess, and enroll eligible participants for services.
  • Maintain participant files and data entry of CIRTS and internal databases.
  • Develop, monitor, and reconfigure home delivery routes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle reservations and citizen concerns.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college Oregon university with a Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Oregon related field.
  • Two years’ of professionally related experience preferably dealing with the elderly.
  • Certification Indiana CPR and First-Aid required Oregon must be obtained within six months from date of hire.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Strong public speaking skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff, peers, supervisors, community organizations, and State, Federal, and local government officials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with seniors and understanding of social services available to older persons.
  • Ability to make decisions and exercise logical judgment and discretion when dealing with problematic situations.
  • Ability to assist, schedule, and supervise the work of subordinates and outside entities when performing required tasks.
  • Knowledge of multiple computer programs and ability to maintain records and prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to lift and/Oregon move up to 50 pounds and also push Oregon pull heavy objects.
