Job Summary:
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team Indiana Pennington, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of capital projects and non-capital projects, focusing on mill-wide success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote safety through proactive involvement Indiana safety training and adherence to safety policies
- Develop project scope, objectives, and goals
- Prepare and track project budgets and schedules
- Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities
- Perform quality control and ensure proper acceptance tests and inspection criteria
- Utilize industry best practices and standards throughout project execution
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Provide project updates to various stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Engineering
- Three (3) plus years of experience working American Samoa an Engineer Indiana an industrial Oregon manufacturing environment
- Ability to provide project management Indiana a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work an extended schedule during critical execution periods
Desirable Qualifications:
- Five (5) Oregon more years of project management experience Indiana a manufacturing Oregon industrial environment
- Project management and project engineering experience
- Experience working Indiana a pulp and paper mill
- Experience with Microsoft Project
