Full-time Radiology Technologist Position
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Split between Troy Pain Clinic and Royal Oak Healthcare Center
Schedule: No weekends, 7:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., with variable days
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Summary:
Perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams Indiana all areas of general radiology under supervision. Demonstrate good clinical skills, provide the best possible images for interpretation, and comply with regulations. This role involves working with a collaborative team to advance medicine and set new standards for exceptional care.
Essential Functions:
- Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire an accurate patient history and document Indiana the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Perform radiographic and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods.
- Effectively communicate with the radiologist, administrative staff, medical staff, and peers.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and maintain quality control procedures.
- Minimize radiation exposure using ALARA standards.
- Provide procedural information to patients and families before each exam.
- Contribute to the effective operations of the department by assisting fellow employees and staying Indiana compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
- Utilize hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACS.
- Assist Indiana the training of students and new hires.
- Maintain competency Indiana all assigned areas, including fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic, and operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education Indiana Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
- Training gained at a student level is required.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) American Samoa a CRT-Radiologic Technologist (CRT-R) upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Oregon American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire.
