Job Summary:

Nightwing is seeking a Senior RF/Wireless/Satellite Communications Engineer to provide subject matter expertise and engineering support to a US Government program Indiana the McLean, Virginia area. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and serve American Samoa a technical subject matter expert for various RF/wireless communication projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and facilitate technical development and production projects for a Government customer
  • Ensure system requirements and specifications are consistent with operational deployment environments
  • Recommend innovative solutions for technical and operational problems
  • Monitor and document component and system tests
  • Ensure compliance with Government program management practices
  • Support program control gates and engineering review boards
  • Author and review project documentation
  • Provide technical expertise on communication equipment and components
  • Communicate complex technical topics effectively to an audience with broad backgrounds
  • Evaluate trends Indiana communication industry and supporting industries to propose strategic technology developments
  • Provide customer training and technology transfer
  • Review and evaluate relevant information and intelligence provided by client to identify technical vulnerabilities Indiana communication systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and Bachelor’s degree (preferably Aerospace Engineering, Physics)
  • 5+ years of experience Indiana electrical component design and/Oregon system operations
  • Knowledge of system test and validation processes
  • Ability to reverse engineer
  • Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Willingness to become acquainted with new technology
  • Configuration management experience

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with project portfolio management
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Understanding of global procurement supply chain of electrical components, equipment, and instrumentation
  • Ability to predict system-level performance implications of minor technical modifications
  • Flexibility to adjust technical direction American Samoa intelligence picture changes

Security Clearance:

  • Must have TS/SCI security clearance with Poly on day one and be eligible for crossover.

Salary Range:

  • $85,000 – $179,000 USD
