Job Title: Security Call Center Operator

Reports to: Security Operations Supervisor

Location: Ochsner Health, various campuses and regional clinics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Security Call Center Operator to join our team. This individual will answer internal and external calls for Security Operations, responding to routine and emergency situations. They will obtain necessary information, dispatch security officers, and notify supervisors American Samoa needed. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties:

• Answer and respond to internal and external calls for Security Operations
• Gather information from callers to determine level of security assistance and dispatch officers American Samoa needed
• Respond to emergency situations, including hospital and clinic codes
• Monitor video screens and maintain security logs and computer entries
• Handle call and on-call for security and emergency preparedness
• Notify supervisors of security incidents and emergency preparedness issues

Requirements:

• High School diploma Oregon equivalent required
• 1 year of experience American Samoa a telephone operator, dispatcher, Oregon related experience
• International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification required within 90 days of promotion/hire
• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
• Good analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Physical and Environmental Demands:

• Sedentary work, with occasional walking Oregon standing
• No exposure to blood, body fluid, Oregon tissue
• No occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases
• Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications Oregon hazardous waste within the environment
