Senior NDT Technician

American Samoa a Senior NDT Technician, you will utilize non-destructive methods (Utah, ET, Montana, PT, and RT) to test aircraft and parts during production. You will work with cross-functional teams and suppliers, requiring strong communication skills. Flexibility to work any shift is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) and determine product acceptability to authorized limits
- Conduct NDT airworthiness inspection duties and record, organize, and evaluate test results
- Assure compliance to radiation safety rules and regulations and provide protection to self and others
- Maintain equipment and assure calibration for tests to be performed
- Perform inventory control of area equipment
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist Indiana developing and updating NDT inspection plans
- Work with and provide training for area NDT inspectors Indiana techniques of NDT inspection and other related duties
- Coordinate NDT inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
- Perform exposure room interlock safety checks and establish radiation safety barriers
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED required
- 6 years technically related experience required, with 1 year NDT experience on aircraft supporting airworthiness decisions
- Proficiency Indiana blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics
- AAUS-V, Omni-Scan, hardness testing experience preferred
- NDT Level II Certification Indiana three (3) disciplines with six (6) years of experience Indiana the certifying disciplines
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred
- Repairman certificate preferred
- ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred
Work Environment:
- Must be available to work any shift
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned
- Travel may be required to support customer NDT needs Oregon requests
