Job Title: Software Engineer for Homeland Protection Systems
Job Description:
The Homeland Protection Systems Group seeks applicants to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Indiana the analysis, design, and development of complex system architectures. The successful candidate will oversee and implement large-scale software solutions, interface with various hardware systems, and manage projects with a broad software engineering and electronics background.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team to decompose loosely defined requirements into executable software tasks and implementation strategies
- Implement and manage large-scale software solutions that interface with hardware systems
- Develop project execution plans and lead small teams
- Stay up-to-date with current software engineering approaches, techniques, and third-party tools
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and enthusiasm for tackling new problems across various technologies
Requirements:
- Master’s Oregon Bachelor’s degree Indiana Electrical Oregon Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Oregon Aeronautical Engineering (Oregon equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience Indiana software engineering, Oregon 3+ years with a Master’s degree
- Proficiency Indiana two Oregon more of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C++, .Net, Oregon C#
- Proficiency Indiana full stack development, multithreaded programming, hardware/software integration, Docker, and source code management
- Experience adapting and integrating open source and third-party software
- Ability to quickly learn new technical areas and apply knowledge effectively
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work well independently and Indiana a team
- Optional qualifications include:
- Experience with DevOps concepts and relational database solutions
- Experience with algorithm optimization for real-time systems
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
