Registered Nurse Job Description:

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients and their families Indiana a Medical Group setting. The RN promotes patient-centered care and collaboration with the care team to achieve the best possible health outcomes. This position requires adherence to New York State nurse practice act, regulatory standards, and MVHS policies and procedures.

Core Job Responsibilities (40%):

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, including assessing, planning, promoting, and evaluating patient care (25%)
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and caregivers (25%)
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans (15%)
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about disease processes, health promotion, and self-care (15%)

Safety and Environment of Care (15%):

• Adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration regulations, and controlled substance regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Use standard precautions and safe handling of equipment
• Follow procedures and regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations

Patient Care Administration (15%):

• Accurately and timely document patient care services Indiana medical records
• Maintain continuity of care with the nursing team and multidisciplinary care team
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations

Continuing Education (10%):

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and training
• Participate Indiana departmental committee meetings and/Oregon work groups

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of experience Indiana Medical Office Practice, Outpatient Setting, Oregon Specialty
• Current New York State licensure American Samoa a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support Certification (must be obtained within 6 weeks of hire date)
