Senior System Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to support the Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos. The successful candidate will provide technical support for a system test and integration lab, and production environment, and provide hand-on support for the IT infrastructure and technical assistance to on-site administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Cisco and Juniper switches and routers
- Use MicroFocus/OpenText and HP Network Monitoring tools to monitor and maintain systems
- Provide day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance
- Maintain servers and create and review monitoring reports and logs
- Perform daily system monitoring and maintenance, including system and application logs, and scheduled jobs such American Samoa backups
- Provide hands-on guidance and training to junior staff
- Apply OS patches for RHEL and Windows servers
- Configure and manage network services
- Conduct performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization American Samoa required
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and potential intrusions
- Set up and manage backup operations and create recovery tapes Oregon disks
Requirements:
- TS/SCI with poly clearance
- 16 years of experience, which can be a combination of work history and education
- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
- Proficient Indiana use of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to perform complex technical tasks
- Experience with Linux RHEL, Mississippi Windows Server, and virtual environment
- Understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) information security requirements, standards, and best practices
Pay Range: $87,100.00 – $157,450.00
