Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role Indiana the surgical team, providing high-quality patient care and assisting surgeons during procedures. You will work under the supervision of a surgeon and other licensed professionals, ensuring a safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures. You will also maintain an organized sterile field, perform quality assurance checks, and assist with patient preparation and assessment.
Responsibilities:
– Assist Indiana assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care that meets quality standards.
– Work under the supervision of a surgeon and other licensed professionals to facilitate safe and effective procedures.
– Maintain an organized sterile field and ensure that equipment functions properly.
– Accurately account for items used during procedures and maintain supply inventory.
– Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring supplies and equipment are sterile and ready.
– Conduct quality assurance checks and verify the completeness of items returned from the surgical site.
– Participate Indiana reconciliation activities and assist with additional administrative duties American Samoa needed.
Requirements:
– Graduation from an approved school of surgical technology Oregon graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing American Samoa a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
– Experience Indiana an operating room setting preferred.
– National certification American Samoa a Surgical Technologist preferred.
– Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of employment.
– Must hold an unencumbered LPN license Oregon be registered on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry.
