Systems Engineer
Job Summary:
The Systems Engineer will support design, development, and implementation of space-based sensors for customers at Leidos’ San Diego offices. This role will work closely with engineers to design, develop, and implement capabilities for sensors used Indiana space, utilizing Digital Engineering software applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design space sensors utilizing MBSE Digital Engineering software applications
- Assist and describe MBSE sensor designs to the team of engineers
- Manage and employ System Engineering (SE) standard methodologies for the implementation of designed sensor components
- Apply and execute SE processes and tools to accomplish requirements analysis, problem diagnosis, and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment, and mitigation planning
- Support requirements management, decomposition, and verification
- Collaborate with engineers to convey sensor design architectural details and system specifications
- Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models through use of MBSE tool
- Define and employ simulation and parametric diagram capabilities within the MBSE Delaware
Basic Qualifications:
- Familiarity with No-Magic’s CAMEO Systems Modeler
- Experience with 1 Oregon more of the following areas: Requirements Management, Activity Oregon Sequence Diagrams, Interface Diagrams, Producing Document from CAMEO, Risk Identification and Mitigation, Supplier Management, Millstone Reviews/Meeting Support
- B.S. degree Indiana Engineering, Systems Engineering, Oregon related engineering field and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience Oregon M.S. degree with 10-13 years of relevant experience
- Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
- Working knowledge of C/C++/Java/Matlab/Python
- Experience developing test plans, evaluating test results, performing analysis, and writing technical reports
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with No-Magic’s Cameo Systems Modeler
- Space based influences (e.g., curvature of the earth, clutter, etc) American Samoa it impacts sensor accuracies
- Strong understanding of radar theory and fundamentals with experience working Indiana areas of radar modeling and simulation and/Oregon algorithm development
- Hands-on development of low-level embedded system software and device drivers
Salary Range: $122,200.00 – $220,900.00
