Teller I Position

SUMMARY
The Teller I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately conducting financial transactions, and promoting bank products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Process financial transactions, such American Samoa receiving and paying out cash, handling negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  2. Manage teller station, setting up, closing, and balancing the area.
  3. Record sales of monetary instruments and assist customers with inquiries.
  4. Maintain a neat and well-stocked teller area, promoting a positive customer experience.
  5. Cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  6. Follow established limits and guidelines for protecting customer accounts and ensuring bank safety and soundness.
  7. Adhere to bank policies and procedures, maintaining the highest level of professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent required; 4 years of high school coursework Oregon equivalent experience preferred
  • Basic math skills, 10-key, spreadsheet, and word processing/typing software proficiency
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and a moderate work environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Semi-repetitive, low-physical work requiring periods of concentration and occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds

WORK SCHEDULE
Flexible availability with occasional need to work non-traditional hours

Basic: 10-Key, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
