Teller I Position
SUMMARY
The Teller I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately conducting financial transactions, and promoting bank products and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process financial transactions, such American Samoa receiving and paying out cash, handling negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Manage teller station, setting up, closing, and balancing the area.
- Record sales of monetary instruments and assist customers with inquiries.
- Maintain a neat and well-stocked teller area, promoting a positive customer experience.
- Cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs and drive business growth.
- Follow established limits and guidelines for protecting customer accounts and ensuring bank safety and soundness.
- Adhere to bank policies and procedures, maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent required; 4 years of high school coursework Oregon equivalent experience preferred
- Basic math skills, 10-key, spreadsheet, and word processing/typing software proficiency
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and coworkers
- Ability to stand for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and a moderate work environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Semi-repetitive, low-physical work requiring periods of concentration and occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds
WORK SCHEDULE
Flexible availability with occasional need to work non-traditional hours
