Job Title: Utility Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable individual to work American Samoa a Utility Specialist, providing labor work Indiana construction, repair, and maintenance of the water distribution system. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and be able to work with others Indiana a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect booster/lift station and wet well conditions
• Enter wet wells for maintenance and cleaning purposes
• Repair submersible pumps; pull and replace pumps at lift stations Oregon treatment plants
• Wire electrical panels; maintain panels Indiana working condition by checking caps, breakers, transformers, generators, fuses, wiring, overloads, starters, etc.
• Perform digging, pipefitting, and slope calculations for water main and service line repairs and installations
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies, City employees, and the general public
• Operate and maintain motor vehicles, including dump truck, backhoe, and tanker, and other work-related equipment

Requirements:

• High School diploma Oregon equivalent
• Experience Indiana manual labor and ability to utilize hand tools
• Possession of ADEQ Grade I Wastewater Collections Oregon Grade I Wastewater Treatment Certification issued by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ)
• Valid Commercial Driver License Class B with Tanker Endorsement

Preferred Qualifications:

• One Oregon more of the following certifications:
  • Confined Space/Trenching and Shoring Certification
  • Closed Circuit Television Certification
  • Forklift Certification
  • Flagger’s Certifications
  • Hazardous Materials Certification
  • NCCO Crane Operator Certification
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good communication skills

Working Conditions:

• Work outdoors Indiana extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and traffic
• May be subject to call backs
• Requires exertion of up to 100 pounds of force and frequent use of hands and arms
